Education has helped make me the person I am and the person I want to be. Degrees in Economics and Mathematics from Indiana University prepared me for a career in financial services and earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (CFP®) certification has enabled me to focus on serving the financial needs of a select group of individuals, families, business owners and institutions.
I relish the multi-faceted role I play in my clients’ lives: As a teacher, making complex financial issues easier to understand and act upon; as a therapist, listening to understand each client’s unique situation and helping them balance their feelings and emotions about money with reason and logic; and as counselor, advocating for my clients’ financial best interests while always providing advice that is objective, unbiased, and cost-effective.
After two decades of working within the confines of large financial institutions, my colleague, Chris Quackenbush, and I founded our independent Wealth Management Group giving us greater freedom to concentrate on client relationships requiring a comprehensive approach to investing and wealth management. We are there for our clients helping them navigate life’s transitions – planned or unplanned, personal, and business – allowing them to pursue joy, happiness, and purpose with greater confidence.
As a father of two, education is a subject close to my heart which is why one of the causes I’m involved in away from my practice is educational improvement. So much has changed since I was in the education system – curriculum, standards, teacher preparation, facilities, and parental involvement – and not all for the better. Our children are the future, and I will always do whatever I can to make those futures brighter.

I learned a lot from my grandfather – about money, sports, and family relationships. A Harvard educated accountant and business leader, he taught me about saving, budgeting, and spending money wisely. An avid sportsman, he also shared his love of fishing and of course, Indiana University basketball. However, when his health declined, I witnessed what can happen when people are reluctant to discuss and plan for some of life’s most challenging transitions. A bitter and lengthy estate settlement ensued which was costly not only in terms of money, but more importantly in the erosion of our family’s cohesiveness – and things were never quite the same.
I’ve dedicated my life to helping individuals break the silence that often surrounds money, whether between spouses, parents and their children, adult children and aging parents, or business owners and their partners and employees. I believe with compassionate understanding and careful planning, aided by collaboration with a client’s trusted business, tax and legal advisors, wealth can be built, managed, preserved, and distributed in a positive, productive, and purposeful manner.
I earned a degree in Finance and Management from Indiana University and have extensive experience practicing investment and wealth management – exercising my judgment with care, skill, and caution. What I enjoy most about my work is helping my clients understand and address three types of risk: portfolio risks associated with investments; non-portfolio risks relating to longevity, disability, property and casualty, and personal liability; and behavioral risks associated with the personal biases and habits that can affect financial decision-making.
Now my family, along with lessons learned from the past, serve as constant reminders of the impact that my work has on my clients’ families, now and for years to come.

It is my honor and privilege to serve as the Director of Client Relations doing everything possible to ensure that client interactions are always efficient, enjoyable, and satisfying. Chad, Chris, and I have worked as a team for close to a decade. We are in-sync with each other and focused on anticipating, meeting, and exceeding our clients’ expectations. We set exacting standards for the practice, and we hold each other accountable.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Indiana University and gained an appreciation for the importance of clear, concise communication; the ability to simplify the complex and clarify the confusing; and to rectify that which needs to be fixed as expeditiously as possible.
Away from the office, I am involved in fundraising and cheer squad development at my children’s school, believe-it-or-not, cheering has a lot in common with my roles in our wealth management office. It’s about focusing on strong fundamentals – employing the correct motions; executing jumps with precise timing; bending backwards if that is what it takes to get the job done; and supporting your teammates. There is nothing more rewarding than when we hear the fans respond, or when we receive compliments from clients about our performance.
Helping build houses on missionary trips to Honduras; helping children and parents deal with mental health challenges; and supporting professional development within our schools, are some of the ways I have tried to give back, for all the blessings that I have been given.

I’m honored to bring two decades of banking and wealth management experience to Teders & Quackenbush Wealth Management Group. My passion for connecting, serving, and promoting others will help strengthen existing relationships and build new ones.
I hold a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Organization Leadership & Supervision from Purdue University. Change is inevitable in organizations, the financial markets and in our clients’ lives. The pace of change is increasing along with the complexity of the issues and challenges that we and our clients face.
By understanding trends and changes in the financial industry and knowing our clients’ preferences, we can be more holistic in the ways we serve our clients while adhering to our duties and responsibilities.
As change doesn’t always announce itself in advance, I work to balance my commitment to efficient and sound processes with creativity and a by-the-book discipline to address unexpected transitions and changes in our clients’ lives.
While no relationships are dearer to me than those I share with my wife, children and family, I’m grateful for every opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our clients, colleagues, friends, and community.
